Paul Bugala

Paul Bugala is an independent sustainable investment analyst.  He has worked for more than 15 years on ESG integration and human rights and environmental advocacy in the oil, gas and mining industries at Calvert Investments (now part of Eaton Vance Corporation), Oxfam America, and in this current role. Paul also taught a sustainable finance class in the MBA program at the George Washington University School of Business.  While at Calvert, he served on United Nations Principles for Responsible Investing (UNPRI) committees on ESG Integration, Carbon Disclosure, Indigenous Peoples Rights, and ESG issues in Fixed Income. Paul is on the advisory board of the American University Center for Environmental Policy and is a member of Amnesty International USA’s Business and Human Rights Group. He was appointed by Secretaries of the Department of the Interior Salazar and Jewell to the U.S. Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (USEITI) Federal Advisory Committee, on which he served from its formation in 2012 until it was terminated in 2017.
