Jan Morrill is an International Mining Campaigner at Earthworks. Her work focuses on identifying and promoting best practices for mine waste storage as well as supporting communities living in the shadows of tailings dams. She is a co-author of Safety First: Guidelines for Responsible Mine Tailings Management. Before coming to Earthworks, she spent five years in Central America supporting community-based and national organizations on issues related to mining and water rights.
