Andrew Howell is Director of Corporate Research with the Alliance, focusing on topics including extractive industries, decarbonization and capital markets development. For 17 years, Andrew was an equity research analyst and strategist with Citi, where he led the frontier markets research effort, traveling regularly to Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and South Asia. He has also worked in private equity and as a management consultant and financial analyst in Russia. Andrew holds degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and INSEAD, is a CFA Charterholder and is fluent in Russian and French.
